Property owners and public corporations currently paying a Miami Conservancy District (MCD) Dam Safety Assessment are notified of a modification to the MCD Dam Safety Program. This modification involves additional dam improvement costs of $3,900,000 which will be funded through Dam Safety Assessments beginning in 2020 and ending in 2022. The annual assessment will not increase above the amount collected in 2019. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code ยง6101.49, property owners and public corporations may elect to pre-pay the full assessment amount rather than the assessment being divided into annual installments. All pre-payments must be received by the MCD Treasurer by September 6, 2019 in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to The Miami Conservancy District.
