About

  • Part of the Twin Valley Conservation Corridor, Germantown MetroPark is your gateway to a wilderness adventure. Discover the largest areas of old-growth forest within Montgomery County, creating some of the best habitats for wildlife. From tall trees to water-carved ravines, colorful prairies and meadows to the scenic Twin Creek corridor, this park traverses some of the region’s most beautiful landscape. Only 20 minutes from Dayton, the park feels a world away.
  • Five Rivers MetroParks welcomes groups, families or individuals to explore their wild side with camping in the parks. Camping is a great way to experience nature at dawn, dusk and even after dark. With built-in activities such as fishing, paddling, hiking and backpacking, camping in your MetroParks offers a way to get away from it all just minutes from your door. Both frontcountry, backcountry and trailside tent camping sites are available. Frontcountry sites have recently been updated with site improvements such as new picnic tables, fire rings and firewood boxes.
  •  All sites are safe, clearly marked and well-maintained, with clean, mowed, rock-free areas where the tents can be set up. They are quiet and designed to offer a degree of privacy. Trailside sites are designed to support travelers hiking, cycling, or paddling through the region who need a simple place to camp as they continue along their journey on one of the regional trails, touring routes, or water trails.
